What is it?
The Working Days Calculator counts the working days between two dates. It also shows the calendar days, the weekend days and the holidays it skipped.
Who is it for?
Office staff planning deadlines and leave, HR teams, project managers, and businesses in the Gulf with Friday–Saturday weekends.
How to use it
- Pick the Start date and End date.
- Choose the Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, Sunday only, Friday and Saturday (Gulf) or Friday only.
- List Holidays to skip (one date per line, YYYY-MM-DD), like
2026-01-26.
Uses
- Delivery and project deadlines (“7 working days”).
- Leave planning: how many working days a holiday trip takes off.
- Notice periods and payment terms, if your contract counts business days.
Good to know
- Both start and end dates are counted if they are working days.
- Many Indian offices have a 6-day week or alternate Saturdays off; choose “Sunday only” and list the off Saturdays as holidays.
- Public holidays differ by state, company and bank; check your organisation’s holiday list.
Worked example
From 2 November to 15 November 2026 with a Saturday–Sunday weekend: 14 calendar days, 4 weekend days, 10 working days. Add 4 November as a holiday: 9 working days.
Tips
- For alternate Saturdays off, choose Sunday only and list the off Saturdays as holidays.
- Banks follow RBI holiday lists by state; offices follow their own lists.
Errors and how to fix them
- “The end date must be after the start date”
- Holiday not skipped: write it as YYYY-MM-DD.
