What is it?
Word to PDF turns a .docx document into a PDF that looks the same on every phone and computer. Convert to PDF lays out each page as a sharp picture; Print / Save as PDF (selectable text) uses your browser’s print window so the text stays searchable.
Who is it for?
Job seekers sending a CV, students submitting assignments, shopkeepers sending quotations, and anyone without Word on their phone who has received a .docx and must send it as a PDF.
How to use it
- Choose your .docx file.
- Tap Convert to PDF. You’ll see Opening the Word file… and Laying out page …; download the PDF.
- For text that can be selected and searched, tap Print / Save as PDF (selectable text) and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer.
Which button to use
- Convert to PDF: looks right in every script, including Hindi and other Indian languages; text is part of the picture.
- Print / Save as PDF: smaller file, searchable text – best for CVs sent to job portals that scan for keywords.
Try a sample converts a short leave application with a table, so you can see how both outputs look.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is opened and changed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to us, and closing the page clears it.
Errors and how to fix them
- “This is not a .docx file. Old .doc files must be saved as .docx in Word or Google Docs first”: open the file in Word or Google Docs and use Save as / Download → .docx.
- “This Word file looks empty, or it is an old .doc file”: the same fix: re-save it as .docx.
- Layout differs from Word: text boxes, page headers and special fonts may move slightly. Check the PDF before sending; for complex designs, export from Word itself.
- Print button does nothing: allow pop-ups for this site, or use Convert to PDF.
