Stock Register: Track Stock In, Stock Out and Low-Stock Alerts

What is it?

The Stock Register is a simple stock book on your phone. Add each item once with its unit, opening stock, cost and an alert level; then record every stock in and stock out. It shows the live balance, the total stock value and which items are running low.

Who is it for?

Kirana and hardware shops, small godowns and warehouses, home businesses selling online, school or office store rooms, and anyone still keeping stock in a notebook.

How to use it

  1. Tap ➕ Add a new item: Item name (e.g. Basmati rice 5 kg bag), Unit (pcs, kg, box), Opening stock, Cost per unit and Alert when stock is at or below.
  2. For each movement, open Stock in / out, choose the item, enter the Quantity, Date and a Note (optional) like “Bill 45, sold to Ramesh”.
  3. Use Search items… to find an item and see its balance.

Worked example

Opening stock 40 bags of rice, alert at 10. You receive 20 (stock in) and sell 52 over the month (stock out): balance 8, shown as low stock, so you reorder before running out.

Good habits

Enter movements the same day, count physical stock once a month and correct differences with a note (e.g. “damaged”, “count correction”).

Keep your records safe

Everything is saved in this browser on this device, never on our servers, so it’s private. It is lost if you clear browsing data, uninstall the browser or use a private window, and it doesn’t sync to other phones. Back it up regularly with My Data: Backup Everything, which saves all your Infinity records in one file you can restore on any device.

Errors and how to fix them

  • My entries disappeared: browser data was cleared, or you’re on another browser or device. Restore your latest backup in My Data: Backup Everything.
  • Balance looks wrong: check for a stock out entered as stock in; edit or delete that entry.
  • No alert showing: set an alert level for the item with Edit.
  • Value looks off: update the cost per unit when your purchase price changes.
