Stock and Crypto Profit Calculator: Profit, Return and Break-Even

What is it?

The Stock and Crypto Profit Calculator shows your profit or loss after fees, your Return in %, and the Break-even sell price.

Who is it for?

Share and crypto traders and investors checking real profit after charges and break-even prices.

How to use it

Enter the Buy price (per share / coin), Quantity, Sell price (or price now), and the Fees and taxes on buy + sell. Read Bought for, Value now, Fees, the profit and Return. The answer appears as you type; there is no Calculate button. Pick your Currency at the top if asked, then tap Copy result or Share on WhatsApp.

Include all charges

  • Shares in India: brokerage, STT, exchange charges, SEBI fee, stamp duty and GST. Delivery trades with discount brokers often cost 0.1–0.2% in total; your contract note has the exact amounts.
  • Crypto: exchange trading fees on both sides, plus withdrawal fees. India also has a 1% TDS on crypto sales.

Break-even

The break-even price is what you must sell at just to cover your buy price and all fees. Selling below it is a loss even if the price went up.

Tax

Profits are taxed separately: in India, short-term and long-term capital gains on shares have different rates and holding periods, and crypto gains are taxed at a flat 30% with no loss set-off. Check the current rules for your country.

This is an estimate to help you plan, not financial or tax advice. For big decisions, check the latest rules and talk to a qualified adviser.

Errors and how to fix them

  • Loss despite price rising: fees push the break-even above your sell price.
