What is it?
The Salary and Hourly Wage Calculator converts pay from one period to another. Enter an hourly, daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly amount and see all the others.
Who is it for?
Job seekers comparing offers, freelancers and part-time workers, and employers setting hourly rates.
How to use it
Enter your Pay, choose per Hour, Day, Week, Month or Year, and set Hours a week and Days a week. Results are before tax, with 52 paid weeks a year. The answer appears as you type; there is no Calculate button. Tap Copy result to copy it, or Share on WhatsApp to send it.
Comparing job offers
- Use real hours: a 50-hour week at the same salary pays 20% less per hour than a 40-hour week.
- Count unpaid weeks: freelancers and contract workers don’t get paid holidays, so use the Freelance Rate Calculator.
- Compare take-home pay and benefits (PF, insurance, bonus), not just gross pay. See the Take-home Pay Calculator.
India: monthly vs yearly
Indian offers are often in yearly CTC (“12 LPA”). 12 lakh a year ÷ 12 is ₹1 lakh a month gross, but in-hand pay is lower after PF, tax and other parts of CTC.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Enter hours a week / days a week (more than 0)”: fill in your working hours and days.
