What is it?
The Random Letter Generator picks a random letter, word or country for games such as Name Place Animal Thing. It works in English, Hindi, Arabic, Greek and Russian, and does not repeat until every item has been used.

Families and friends playing word games, teachers running class games, and children practising alphabets.
How to use it
- Choose the Alphabet (or words or countries) and How many.
- Tap Pick; results appear under Picked so far (newest first).
- Start again resets the list.
Game idea: Name Place Animal Thing
Pick a letter; everyone writes a name, place, animal and thing starting with it within 60 seconds. Unique answers score 10, shared ones 5. Use the Hindi alphabet for a Hindi version.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Every item has been picked once, so the list starts again”: that’s expected; all items were used.
- Hard letters like X or Q: skip them in the game, or pick again.

- Can it pick several at once? Yes, set How many.
- Can I pick from Hindi or other alphabets? Yes: choose the Alphabet (English, Hindi, Arabic, Greek or Russian).
- Does it repeat letters? Not until every letter has been picked once.
