What is it?
Picture Riddles gives you rounds of ten picture puzzles, made fresh each time. Spot the odd one out, find the picture that appears twice, count hidden objects or say what comes next in a pattern. Every puzzle has exactly one right answer.
Who is it for?
Children from about five on Easy, adults who want a quick eye test on Hard, and teachers and therapists who use visual attention games.
How to use it
- Choose a Difficulty: Easy, Medium or Hard (bigger grids; the odd-one-out grid on Hard is 7 × 7). Changing it starts a new round.
- Read the question above each picture, such as Only one picture appears twice. Tap both of them., How many 🍎 can you count? or What comes next?
- Tap your answer. Right turns green and the next picture appears; wrong turns red and you can try again.
- After Picture 10 of 10 you see Round done: 7 / 10 in 85 seconds. (with 🏆 New best! if you beat your record). Press Play again or New round.
Tips for a higher score
- Scan in rows, left to right, instead of jumping around the grid.
- For the odd one out, look at small details: eyes, colour, a missing line.
- For “find the pair”, tap the first picture you suspect, then look only for its twin.
- Your best score is kept separately for each difficulty: Score: 6 · Best (hard): 8 / 10.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Not that one. Look again!”: a wrong tap. Try another picture.
- “Count again carefully.”: the number you chose for a counting puzzle is wrong.
- “The answer is shown. On to the next one.”: after three wrong tries the answer is highlighted and the round moves on.
- “Got it! (no point after a wrong try)”: only first-try answers score.
- The pictures look different on my phone, or show as boxes: each phone maker draws emoji in its own style; very old phones may lack newer emoji. Update the phone or try another browser.
- The board is too small or cut off on my phone: turn the phone sideways, or zoom out the page; the board fits the width of the screen.
- My game, best time or score has gone: it is kept only in this browser on this device. Private windows, clearing site data, or another browser or phone start fresh.
