Meta Tag Generator: Title, Description, Open Graph and Twitter Cards

What is it?

The Meta Tag Generator creates the title, description, Open Graph and Twitter card tags for a page, with a Google preview of how it may look in search results.

Who is it for?

Website and blog owners, developers and SEO beginners who want correct search and social-sharing tags for their pages.

How to use it

  1. Choose the Page type: Website / home page, Article / blog post or Product.
  2. Fill in the title, description, page address and share image. Choose what Search engines may do.
  3. Check the preview, then Copy tags and paste them inside <head>. Try a sample shows a filled-in example.

Writing good tags

  • Title: about 50–60 characters, main keyword first, unique for every page.
  • Description: about 140–160 characters that make people want to click. Google may rewrite it, but a good one is often used.
  • Share image: 1200 × 630 px for WhatsApp, Facebook and X previews.

Blogger

Blogger themes already output the title, and the post’s Search description (in post settings, once enabled under Settings → Meta tags) becomes the meta description. Add Open Graph tags through the theme’s HTML once, using Blogger data tags, rather than per post.

Social previews not updating?

WhatsApp and Facebook cache previews. Use Facebook’s Sharing Debugger to refresh, or share the link with ?v=2 added.

Worked example

Title: Homemade Mango Pickle Recipe (Aam ka Achar) (45 characters). Description: Easy Punjabi-style mango pickle with mustard oil and simple spices. Step-by-step photos, storage tips and how long it lasts. (about 130 characters). Both are specific, include the main search words, and promise something useful.
