Milk and Daily Hisab: Monthly Bill for Milk, Newspaper and Maid

What is it?

Milk and Daily Hisab ends the monthly argument with the milkman, newspaper vendor or maid. Set the usual daily quantity and rate once; the calendar fills itself. Tap any day to mark it off, extra or double, then see the month’s bill and payments.

Who is it for?

Households paying daily services: milk, newspaper, maid, cook, water cans, dhobi, and the vendors themselves keeping customer accounts.

How to use it

  1. Tap ➕ Add milk, newspaper, maid…: Name, Rate per unit, Usual quantity each day, Unit and Started on.
  2. Pick the Month. Tap a day to change it: Day off, Usual, Double, or type a quantity.
  3. Record Amount paid with Save payment, and Share hisab on WhatsApp.

Worked example

Milk at 1.5 litre a day at ₹60/litre, with 3 days off and 2 double days in a 30-day month: (25 × 1.5 + 2 × 3) litres = 43.5 litres, ₹2,610.

Errors and how to fix them

  • My entries disappeared: browser data was cleared, or you’re on another browser or device. Restore your latest backup in My Data: Backup Everything.
  • Bill too high: days before the start date or after stopping still count as usual; mark them off or set Started on correctly.
  • Rate changed mid-month: start a new item from that date, or adjust the quantity.
