You can remove DeskOrg at any time. Your files stay exactly where DeskOrg put them: uninstalling never deletes your folders or documents.
Uninstall step by step
- Open DeskOrg › Smart Automation and click Uninstall automation (skip this if you never turned it on).
- Close DeskOrg.
- Open Windows Settings › Apps › Installed apps (on Windows 10: Settings › Apps).
- Find DeskOrg, click it (or the ⋯ button) and choose Uninstall, then confirm.
What stays on your PC
- The category folders on your desktop and all your files in them.
- Your rules in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\DeskOrg(delete that folder if you don’t plan to reinstall).
Put the files back on the desktop
Open a category folder, select everything (Ctrl + A), and drag it onto the desktop. Then delete the empty folder.
If it doesn’t work
- DeskOrg isn’t in the list: search “DeskOrg” in the Start Menu, right-click it › Uninstall.
- “A file is in use”: DeskOrg or its automation is still running. Uninstall automation first, or restart the PC, then try again.
Get DeskOrg free from deskorg.niveshsahayak.in, and see the DeskOrg user guide.
