What is it?
The Date Converter shows one Date in many formats (DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, ISO 2026-11-01, long and short names), in other calendars, with its week number, day of the year and Unix time.
Who is it for?
Office staff writing dates for other countries, developers needing ISO dates, students, and anyone confused by 03/04 meaning March or April.
How to use it
Pick a date. Every format updates; tap one to copy it.
Avoid day/month mix-ups
- India, the UK and most of the world write day first: 03/04/2026 is 3 April. The USA writes month first: the same text means March 4.
- For forms, files and spreadsheets shared across countries, use ISO format
2026-04-03: it can’t be misread and sorts correctly.
Week numbers
The ISO week number starts on Monday, and week 1 is the week containing the year’s first Thursday. So 1 January can belong to week 52 or 53 of the previous year. Some companies count weeks from Sunday or from 1 January; check which system your office uses.
Other calendars
Calendars such as the Indian national (Saka), Islamic, Hebrew and Persian calendars come from your browser and depend on its version. Festival dates based on moon sightings or local panchang can differ by a day; confirm religious dates locally.
Worked example
5 March 2026 is 05/03/2026 in India, 03/05/2026 in the US, and 2026-03-05 in ISO format.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Choose a date.”: the date box is empty. Tap it and pick a date.
- The day and month are swapped: 03/04 is 3 April in India and the UK but March 4 in the US. Pick the date in the box rather than typing it, and read the long format (for example 3 April 2026) to be sure.
