What is it?
WhatsApp status and Instagram stories are tall (9:16). A wide photo is either cropped or shown small. The Status Sizer places the whole photo on a 1080 × 1920 canvas with a blurred or coloured background.
Who is it for?
Anyone posting wide or square photos to WhatsApp status or Instagram stories without cutting off people at the sides: family photos, product pictures, posters, festival greetings and screenshots.
How to use it
- Choose or drop your photo.
- Pick the Background (blur or a Colour) and adjust Size and position.
- Tap Download, then add it to your status in WhatsApp: Updates → Add status → pick the picture.
My status looks blurry
- WhatsApp compresses every status photo. A 1080 × 1920 picture, which is what the tool makes, gives WhatsApp the best start.
- Very small or screenshot photos cannot gain detail. Use the original photo, not one forwarded on WhatsApp, which is already compressed.
- On a slow connection WhatsApp may show a lower-quality preview first; viewers see the full picture once it loads.
Good to know
- Keep text and faces away from the top and bottom edges: WhatsApp puts your name, time and reply bar there.
- A status disappears after 24 hours. Download it if you want to keep it.
Example
A wide group photo (4:3) placed on the 1080 × 1920 canvas with a blurred copy behind it fills the whole status screen, and nobody at the edges is cut off.
Videos?
This tool works with photos. For video status, WhatsApp itself lets you trim; keep clips under the length limit WhatsApp shows.
