What is it?
The Wi-Fi QR Code tool makes a code that guests scan with their phone camera to join your network, without spelling out the password. Modern iPhones and Android phones connect with one tap. It also makes a ready-to-print “📶 Free Wi-Fi” card for a café, shop, office, homestay or guest room.
Who is it for?
Café, restaurant and shop owners, homestays and hotels, offices with visitors, and families tired of reading the router password aloud.
How to use it
- Type the Wi-Fi name and Password exactly as they are; capitals and spaces matter. Show reveals the password to check it.
- Choose Security: WPA / WPA2 / WPA3 (most routers), WEP (old) or No password (open).
- Tick Hidden network if your network name is hidden; untick Print the password on the card to show only the code.
- Scan the preview with your phone, then press Download card (PNG) or QR only (SVG).
Worked example
Network “Sharma Home 5G”, password chai-time-2026, WPA. The code holds WIFI:T:WPA;S:Sharma Home 5G;P:chai-time-2026;;. Print the card at 100% scale, test it, and stick it near the counter. If you change your password, make a new card.
The code is made on your device and the password is never sent anywhere. Put guests on a separate guest network if your router has one.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Type your Wi-Fi name to make the code”: the name is required.
- “Note: WPA passwords are 8 to 63 characters. Check yours”: the length looks wrong for WPA.
- “Type the password too, or choose “No password””
- Phone says it cannot join: a letter is wrong (O and 0, l and I), or the security type does not match. Check the router’s label or settings.
- Old Android phones cannot read it: use Google Lens.
