Webcam Recorder: Record Video Messages and Take Photos

What is it?

The Webcam Recorder records video messages, self-introductions, practice presentations or product clips from your webcam or phone camera, takes photos, mirrors the view and switches cameras.

Who is it for?

Job seekers recording video introductions, students practising presentations, teachers making short lessons, and sellers recording product clips.

How to use it

  1. Tap Turn camera on and allow it (Asking for the camera…).
  2. Choose Quality and Switch camera if needed.
  3. Tap ● Record (tap again to stop), or 📷 Photo; download the result.

Video introduction tips

Keep the camera at eye level, look at the lens, keep it under 90 seconds, and record a test first to check sound.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “This browser cannot …”: use a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on a secure (https) page. In-app browsers (Instagram, Facebook) often block cameras and microphones: open the page in your browser.
  • “Permission denied” or nothing happens: allow the microphone/camera in the browser’s site settings (icon left of the address), and in phone Settings → Apps → your browser → Permissions.
  • Used by another app: close video-call apps (Zoom, Meet, WhatsApp calls) that hold the device.
  • Dark or grainy video: face a window or lamp; webcams need good light.
  • Video looks mirrored: the preview mirrors you like a mirror; check the setting for the saved file.
