Adding a WhatsApp group or channel to ShareYourGroup is free and needs no account: paste the invite link in Drop your group, pick a category, add one line, and publish. If something goes wrong, the site tells you why. Here is every message and what to do.
Before you start: get the right link
- Group: in WhatsApp open the group → tap its name → Invite via link (iPhone: Invite to Group via Link) → Copy link. It looks like
https://chat.whatsapp.com/…. - Channel: open the channel → tap its name → Share → copy the link (
https://whatsapp.com/channel/…). - Only admins see the invite option, unless the admin allows everyone.
Messages while submitting
- That doesn’t look like a WhatsApp group or channel link. You pasted something else: a wa.me chat link, a phone number, a Telegram link, or a link with extra text around it. Paste only the invite link.
- Tick “I understand” first 👆 You must accept the sharing rules once per visit before publishing.
- Pick a category so people can find it. Choose the category that really fits; a wrong category gets fewer joins and may be reported.
- “Couldn’t submit right now. Try again in a minute” or “Network hiccup — please try again”: your connection dropped or the server was busy. Wait a minute and tap publish again; you won’t create duplicates.
- This group can’t be listed — it breaks our rules. The name or description matches content that isn’t allowed (adult, “earn money”, selling numbers or OTPs, hate, drugs or fake news). Such groups can’t be listed.
Messages after publishing
- You’re live! / Your group is on the list. Share it to get members faster. Your card is at the top of the list now.
- We’re fetching your group’s details — it will appear in a few minutes. WhatsApp was slow to share the name and photo. The card appears within about 15 minutes; you don’t need to submit again.
- This group is already listed. or Already listed — we bumped it back to the top! The same link is on the site. Submitting again moves it to the top, once every 24 hours.
Tips for a listing people trust
- Write one honest line about who the group is for: “Daily Punjab govt job alerts, no spam” beats “Best group join now”.
- Set a real group photo and a clear name in WhatsApp; the listing copies them automatically.
- Don’t post your link in comments; the Submit box gives it a proper card.
