Sign PDF: Draw, Type or Upload Your Signature and Place It

What is it?

Sign PDF adds your signature to a PDF without printing and scanning. You can draw it with a finger or mouse, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature on paper, then tap where it goes on the page.

Who is it for?

Tenants and landlords signing rent agreements, new employees returning offer letters, freelancers signing contracts and invoices, parents signing school forms, and anyone asked to “sign and send back” a PDF.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Under Your signature, pick Draw, Type (enter Your name and a Style) or Upload (Choose a photo of your signature: sign on white paper, photograph it, crop it close).
  3. Choose the page with Page shown, set the Signature size, then tap or drag on the page to place it.
  4. Choose where to Put it on: This page only, Last page or Every page, then tap Sign and save.

Is it legally valid?

It places a picture of your signature, like signing a printout and scanning it. Most everyday documents accept this. Some government filings, tax returns and bank documents require a certified digital signature (Aadhaar eSign or a DSC token); check what the receiver needs.

Tip

For agreements that need initials on each page, choose Every page; use Last page for the main signature.

The PDF is opened and changed inside your browser; it is never uploaded. Close the page and it is gone.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “This PDF is password-protected. Remove the password first”: open it once with Remove PDF Password (you need the password), then use the unlocked copy here.
  • “Tap or drag on the page to place your signature”: the signature is ready but not placed yet.
  • Uploaded signature has a grey box: photograph on clean white paper in good light and crop close.
  • Signature too big or small: change Signature size and place it again.
