What is it?
Riddle of the Day shows one new riddle every day from our own collection of more than 180 riddles. It can be an easy one, a tricky play on words, a maths or logic puzzle or a brain teaser (the small label above the riddle tells you which). Everyone sees the same riddle on the same date, so it makes a good daily challenge for a family or office WhatsApp group.
Who is it for?
Anyone who likes a two-minute puzzle with their morning tea, teachers looking for a quick class warm-up, and families who want one shared riddle to talk about each day.
How to use it
- Read the riddle under the heading 🧩 Riddle for today’s date.
- Type your answer in Your answer… and press Check (or Enter).
- Press 💡 Hint for a clue, or 👀 Show answer if you give up (showing the answer does not count as solved).
- When you are right you see Correct! 🎉 Come back tomorrow for a new riddle. and your 🔥 Streak grows by one day.
- Use Share on WhatsApp to challenge friends. Open Yesterday’s riddle and answer or The last 7 days to check earlier puzzles.
Tips and a worked example
The streak line reads, for example, ✓ Solved today · 🔥 Streak: 4 days · 37 solved in all. To keep it, solve each day’s riddle before the next midnight.
- Riddles do not repeat until every riddle in the collection has had its day, and the order is the same on every phone.
- Add the page to your favourites (★) so it is one tap away each morning.

Errors and how to fix them
- “Type your answer first.”: you pressed Check with an empty box.
- “Not quite. Think again, or take the hint.”: the answer did not match. Case, “a/the”, plurals and punctuation do not matter, so try a different word for the same thing.
- The riddle did not change: it changes at midnight on your phone’s own clock. If your phone’s date is wrong, you will see another day’s riddle.
- My streak went back to 0: a streak counts days in a row. It survives until the end of the next day, so missing one whole day resets it. It is also stored only in this browser.
- Share on WhatsApp opens a blank page: on a computer it opens WhatsApp Web, where you must be signed in. On a phone, install WhatsApp or use Copy and paste the riddle anywhere.
