Resume Builder: A Clean Resume in Three Layouts, as PDF or Word

What is it?

The Resume Builder turns short, simple sections (about you, experience, education, skills) into a neat, recruiter-friendly resume. Choose the Layout (Classic, Modern or Compact) and Colour, then Print / Save as PDF or download Word (.doc).

Who is it for?

Freshers making a first resume, job seekers updating their CV, and anyone applying for jobs who doesn’t have a design tool.

How to use it

  1. Fill About you, experience (job title, company, years), education (degree, college, year, grade) and Skills and more. Try a sample shows an example.
  2. Choose the Layout and Colour and check the Preview.
  3. Save as PDF or Word. Start again clears it.

Resume tips

  • Start bullets with action words and numbers: “Handled 40+ customer calls a day”.
  • Freshers: put education and projects first. Keep it to one page.
  • Save as PDF for applications so the layout doesn’t change.

Your details are saved only in this browser so you can come back and edit them.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “Downloaded. Word opens it; the Classic layout is used because Word handles it best”: this is normal. The Word file always uses the Classic layout; for Modern or Compact, use Print / Save as PDF.
  • Header and date on the PDF: untick “Headers and footers” in the print window.
  • Two pages instead of one: shorten bullet points, or use Compact.

Questions people ask

  • Should I add a photo? Not for most jobs in the UK and US; some Indian employers like one.
