Maths Practice: Adding, Taking Away, Times and Sharing With Levels

What is it?

Maths Practice gives primary school children quick, friendly sums to practise. Choose adding, taking away, times, sharing (division) or a mix, at one of four levels, and answer on a big number pad with stars, a timer and a review of mistakes.

Who is it for?

Children in Classes 1–5, parents helping with daily practice, and teachers looking for quick warm-ups.

How to use it

  1. Choose the operation, level and number of questions.
  2. Answer with the big number pad.
  3. At the end, see You got …, review mistakes, and tap ↺ New round or Play again.

Tips

Ten questions a day at the right level is better than long sessions. Move up a level when they score 9 or 10 out of 10 twice in a row. Go through the mistakes list together and work out each answer slowly.

For parents and teachers

Short sessions work best: 5–10 minutes a day, then something active. Sit with young children, say the answers aloud together, and praise effort, not just right answers. Everything runs on the device with no sign-up, no chat and no data collected about your child.

Errors and how to fix them

  • Phone keyboard pops up: use the on-screen number pad instead.
  • Timer stresses the child: ignore it at first; speed comes with practice.

Questions people ask

  • Can older children use it? Yes, higher levels suit Classes 4–5.
