Markdown to HTML: Preview, Copy Clean HTML and Paste in Blogger

What is it?

Markdown to HTML turns Markdown (the simple formatting used on GitHub, Reddit and many note apps) into clean HTML, with a live preview.

Who is it for?

Writers who draft in Markdown, developers writing READMEs and docs, and bloggers who want clean HTML to paste into Blogger or WordPress.

How to use it

  1. Write or paste in Markdown.
  2. Switch between Preview and HTML code.
  3. Tap Copy HTML or Download .html.

Quick Markdown guide

  • # Heading, ## Smaller heading
  • **bold**, *italic*, `code`
  • - item for bullets, 1. item for numbers
  • [text](https://link) for links, ![alt text](image-url) for images
  • Tables with | a | b | rows and a |---|---| line under the header.

Using the HTML in Blogger

Open the post, switch to HTML view, and paste. Your theme then styles the headings and lists. Use one # heading at most: Blogger already uses the post title as the page’s main heading, so start sections with ##, which is better for SEO.

Something didn’t convert

  • Leave a blank line before lists and headings.
  • Scripts and unsafe HTML inside your Markdown are removed for safety.

Worked example

## Price list followed by - Tea **₹10** becomes <h2>Price list</h2><ul><li>Tea <strong>₹10</strong></li></ul>, ready for Blogger’s HTML view.

Common mistakes

  • No blank line before a list: it joins the paragraph above.
  • Single line breaks are joined; end a line with two spaces, or leave a blank line, for a new line.
