What is it?
The Map and Directions Link Maker turns an address, place name or coordinates into links that open in Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze and OpenStreetMap, plus a QR code. You can show a place or give directions by car, walking, transit or cycle.
Who is it for?
Shops and clinics sharing their location, people sending wedding and party venue directions, delivery customers sharing an exact spot, and anyone printing a QR code for their location on a card or poster.
How to use it
- Choose Show a place or Directions.
- Type the Place or address (or coordinates like 30.9010, 75.8573), or tap 📍 Use my location.
- Optionally add the Name of the place; for directions, set Start from (leave empty to start from where the person is) and 🚗 Car, 🚶 Walk, 🚌 Transit or 🚲 Cycle.
- Copy a link, tap Copy message or Share on WhatsApp, or download the QR code.
Tip for shops
Stand at your shop entrance, tap Use my location (“Location found (accurate to about … m)”), add your shop name, and print the QR code for your counter and visiting cards. Your location is used only to make the link, only when you press the button.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Type a place or address first”: the box is empty.
- “Location permission was blocked”: allow location for this site in your browser settings, or type the address.
- “Your location could not be found”: go near a window or type the address.
- The pin lands in the wrong place: with plain text the maps app searches for the address. Use Use my location while standing there, or paste exact coordinates from Google Maps.
