Mailto, Tel and SMS Link Maker: Email, Call and Text Buttons

What is it?

The Mailto, Tel and SMS Link Maker makes links that open an email, a phone call or a text message with one tap. The email can have the address, subject and message already filled in, and you also get ready HTML for a button on your website.

Who is it for?

Website and Blogger owners adding contact buttons, businesses wanting one-tap enquiries, and anyone making email links for signatures or QR codes.

How to use it

  1. Choose the Link type: Email, Phone call or SMS.
  2. Fill in the address or Phone number (with country code), Subject, Message or SMS text, and Button text.
  3. Test the link, then Copy link or Copy HTML.

Spam caution

Plain email addresses on websites attract spam bots. A contact form, or a WhatsApp link, can be better for public pages.

Errors and how to fix them

  • Email link opens nothing on a computer: no email app is set as default. Email links open the visitor’s own mail app; Gmail web users need to set Gmail as the handler.
  • SMS link doesn’t prefill text: some phones ignore the body; SMS links work best on phones.
  • Call goes to the wrong number: include the country code (+91…).

Questions people ask

  • Can I add CC and BCC? Yes, fill the Bcc field; CC works similarly.
