Image Compressor: Reduce Photo Size for Forms, WhatsApp and Websites

What is it?

The Image Compressor makes photos smaller in MB without visible loss, so they fit upload limits on job and exam forms, emails and websites.

Who is it for?

Job and exam applicants facing “file must be under 100 KB” limits, website owners speeding up pages, and anyone emailing or sharing many photos who wants smaller files without visible loss.

How to compress

  1. Tap Choose photos (many at once is fine).
  2. Set the Longest side: Keep original size, or smaller such as 1920 px. Reducing the size saves the most.
  3. Choose the Format: Same as original, JPG or WebP (smallest), and the Quality (75% is a good balance).
  4. Tap Compress. The message shows the size before and after and how much you saved.

Fitting a form’s limit (for example “under 100 KB”)

  • Start with longest side 1280 px and quality 70%. Still too big? Try 1024 px and 60%.
  • Passport photos and signatures for exam forms often need small sizes like 20–50 KB: use a small longest side (around 400–600 px) and JPG.
  • Check the exact pixel size the form asks for. If it needs, say, 200 × 230 px, crop the photo to that shape first.

Why didn’t my image get smaller?

  • It was already compressed (for example, a photo received on WhatsApp). The tool never gives you back a bigger file at the same size.
  • PNG screenshots with photos inside compress poorly as PNG. Choose JPG or WebP.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The file is opened and processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to us, and closing the page clears it.
