Image Resizer: Resize by Pixels, Percent or Print Size

What is it?

The Image Resizer changes the size of one or many photos at once: by exact pixels, a percentage, or a print size.

Who is it for?

Exam and job applicants needing exact pixel sizes, sellers preparing product photos for Amazon, Flipkart or Meesho listings, bloggers sizing images for posts, and anyone printing photos at a set size.

How to resize

  1. Tap Choose photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF). Try a sample shows how it works.
  2. Choose Resize by: Pixels (Width (px) and Height (px)), Percent (Percent of original size) or Print size (Print width, Print height and Unit: cm, mm or inch).
  3. Pick Save as and the JPG / WebP quality, then tap Resize. Download each photo, or all of them as a ZIP.

Keeping the shape

Fill in only the width and leave height on auto to keep the photo’s proportions. Typing both a width and a height that don’t match the photo’s shape will stretch or squash it; use Crop Image first to change the shape.

Exam and job form photos

  • Read the exact pixel size and file size limit, for example 200 × 230 px under 50 KB.
  • Crop to that shape first, resize to the pixels, then use JPG with a lower quality if the file is still too big (or the Image Compressor).

Print size

Print size also asks for the DPI (dots per inch): 300 DPI (photo print) is the usual choice, 150 for drafts and 72 for screens. Making a small photo bigger adds pixels but not detail, so it can look soft when printed large.

Which format to save as?

  • Same as original keeps the file type. JPG is smallest for photos. PNG keeps sharp text and transparent backgrounds. WebP is small with good quality, but a few old programs can’t open it.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The file is opened and processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to us, and closing the page clears it.

Errors and how to fix them

  • Photo looks stretched: you set both width and height to a different shape; set one and leave the other on auto, or crop first.
  • File still too big: choose JPG or WebP and lower the quality; PNG photos stay large.
  • A photo won’t open: use JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF; convert HEIC photos first.
  • Transparent background turned black or white: JPG can’t be transparent; save as PNG or WebP.
