Fill PDF Form: Type Into Fillable PDFs on Phone or Computer

What is it?

Fill PDF Form opens a fillable PDF form and shows every box it contains as a normal field: text boxes, tick boxes, drop-down lists and radio buttons. Type your answers and save a filled copy, optionally locked so the answers can’t be changed.

Who is it for?

Job applicants, students filling admission and scholarship forms, people completing visa, bank and insurance forms, and anyone whose phone PDF viewer won’t let them type into a form.

How to use it

  1. Tap Choose a PDF form. You’ll see Reading the form… then Fill in the boxes below, then save.
  2. Fill every field. Tick boxes and lists work like on any website.
  3. Choose whether to lock the answers, then tap Save filled PDF.

Locked or unlocked?

  • Locked (flattened): answers become part of the page and can’t be edited. Best for the final copy you submit.
  • Unlocked: you or someone else can correct answers later.

Tips

Keep a blank copy of the form. Check dates and numbers in the format the form asks for (DD/MM/YYYY, mobile without +91). After saving, open the file once to check every answer before sending.

The PDF is opened and changed inside your browser; it is never uploaded. Close the page and it is gone.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “This PDF is password-protected. Remove the password first”: open it once with Remove PDF Password (you need the password), then use the unlocked copy here.
  • “This PDF has no boxes to fill in”: it’s a scan or a flat PDF without real form fields. Use Sign PDF’s Type option to place text, or build a form with the Fillable Form Generator.
  • “Some letters you typed (like Hindi or emoji) cannot be flattened here. Untick “Lock the answers” and save again”: save unlocked; PDF readers will still show the text with their own fonts.
  • Answers missing when reopened: make sure you opened the newly saved file, not the original.
