Favicon Generator: Every Size, favicon.ico and HTML for Your Site

What is it?

The Favicon Generator makes a complete favicon pack: favicon.ico, 16, 32 and 48 px icons, an Apple touch icon, Android icons (192 and 512 px) and a site.webmanifest, plus the HTML to add.

Who is it for?

Website and blog owners, developers and small businesses who want their logo or initial in the browser tab, in bookmarks and on phone home screens.

Make your favicon

  1. Under Make it, choose From an image (Choose your logo: a square PNG or SVG of 512 px or more works best) or From a letter or emoji with a Text colour.
  2. Set the Background, Shape (Rounded square, Circle or Square), Padding and Site name (for the manifest).
  3. Tap Create favicon pack. Upload the files to your site’s main folder and paste the HTML into <head> (Copy HTML).

Blogger

Blogger doesn’t let you upload files to the root. Go to Settings → Favicon and upload the 48 px or larger PNG. For the Apple and Android icons, host them elsewhere (for example GitHub Pages) and add the HTML in Theme → Edit HTML.

Design tips

  • At 16 px, details vanish. Use a bold symbol or one or two letters, not your full logo with text.
  • Check it on light and dark browser tabs.

Not updating?

Browsers cache favicons for a long time. Open the site in a private window, or add ?v=2 to the favicon links.

Example

For a shop called “Sharma Sweets”, use From a letter or emoji with “S” in white on your brand colour and a Rounded square shape. It stays readable even at 16 px in a browser tab.
