Send a Blank WhatsApp Message or Empty Name: How It Works

What is it?

WhatsApp doesn’t let you send a completely empty message or leave your name blank. The Blank WhatsApp Message tool gives you invisible characters that WhatsApp accepts but that show as nothing.

Who is it for?

People who want a minimal, “empty” look for their WhatsApp name or About, prank friends with an empty message, or add a gap before a punchline. It’s for fun and style, not for business messages.

How to use it

1. Pick the Type of blank: a single blank, or several empty lines (set the Number of empty lines).
2. Tap Copy blank text and paste it into the message box, your name or your About. Or tap Send in WhatsApp.

WhatsApp removed it or won’t send it

• Some WhatsApp versions trim certain invisible characters. Try another Type of blank; one of them works on each version.
• Some keyboards remove what you paste on a long press. Paste using the box’s Paste option.

Use it kindly

Blank messages are a fun trick, but sending many of them can annoy people and look like spam. A blank name can also make it hard for friends to find you in group chats.

Example

To leave your WhatsApp name looking empty, copy a single blank and paste it into Settings → your name → Save. To send a message that looks empty, paste the blank into a chat and send.

Several empty lines

Choose empty lines and set the Number of empty lines to push a message down, for example to create a “spoiler” gap before a punchline so it isn’t visible in the notification preview.

Questions

• Will they see anything? On most phones, an empty bubble. Some versions may show a tiny space.
• Does it work in groups? Yes, the same way as in chats.
