Shagun and Gift Register: Record Gifts at Weddings and Functions

What is it?

The Shagun and Gift Register records envelopes and gifts at a wedding, griha pravesh, birthday or any function, as fast as they arrive. Make an event, type each name, relation, cash and gift, see totals, and later look up what a family gave you, or you gave them.

Who is it for?

Families hosting weddings and functions, the relative who sits with the register, and anyone who wants to return shagun fairly at others’ functions.

How to use it

  1. Tap ➕ New event: Event name (e.g. Priya’s wedding), Date and Whose function; Create event.
  2. For each guest, type the Name, Relation / village / city, Cash and Gift item, if any, then Add (Enter).
  3. Print list for the family; search a name to see what they gave across events.

Tip for the big day

Give one person the phone and the job of typing entries as envelopes arrive; it’s much faster than writing and avoids illegible notes. Back up the event in My Data the same night.

Keep your records safe

Everything is saved in this browser on this device, never on our servers, so it’s private. It is lost if you clear browsing data, uninstall the browser or use a private window, and it doesn’t sync to other phones. Back it up regularly with My Data: Backup Everything, which saves all your Infinity records in one file you can restore on any device.

Errors and how to fix them

  • My entries disappeared: browser data was cleared, or you’re on another browser or device. Restore your latest backup in My Data: Backup Everything.
  • Two people with the same name: add the village or city so you can tell them apart.
