Add a WhatsApp Chat Button to Your Website or Blogger: Help

What is it?

The WhatsApp Button for Website makes a small floating chat button: visitors tap it and WhatsApp opens with your number and a ready message.

Who is it for?

Website and Blogger owners who sell or take enquiries on WhatsApp: shops, coaching centres, clinics, travel agents, freelancers and service businesses who want visitors to start a chat without searching for a number.

Make the button

  1. Fill in WhatsApp number (with country code), the Ready message and the Button text (leave it empty for an icon only).
  2. Choose the Position (bottom right or left) and the Colour.
  3. Tap Copy code.

Where to paste the code

  • Any website: paste it just before </body> in your page or template.
  • Blogger: Layout → Add a Gadget → HTML/JavaScript → paste → Save. Or Theme → Edit HTML → paste before </body> → Save.
  • WordPress: use a “header and footer code” plugin and paste it in the footer box.

The button doesn’t show

  • Clear your site’s cache (caching plugins, Cloudflare) and reload with Ctrl + F5.
  • Another chat or cookie widget may sit on top of it. Move the button to the other side with Position.
  • Some page builders strip code from text blocks. Use their “custom HTML” or “code” block.

Does it slow my site?

No. It is a few lines of HTML and CSS with no outside scripts, trackers or cookies, so it doesn’t affect page speed or need a cookie notice.

Example

A coaching centre puts the button bottom-right with the message “Hi, I want to know about the Class 10 batch”. Every enquiry arrives with that line, so they know where it came from.
