What Should I Eat? A Fair Random Pick From 140 Dishes or Your List

What is it?

What Should I Eat? picks a meal for you when you can’t decide. Choose the meal, diet, cuisine and effort, and get a random pick from about 140 dishes, or from your own list.

Who is it for?

Families deciding dinner, hostel and flatmates, couples, and anyone tired of deciding meals.

How to use it

  1. Pick meal, diet, cuisine and effort.
  2. Tap Decide for me; tap Not that one for another.
  3. Or Pick from my own list instead: type Your options, one per line.

Idea

Keep a family list of favourite home dishes and restaurants; the random pick stops the same three meals repeating.

Errors and how to fix them

  • Nothing fits all of those. Choose “Any cuisine” or “Any effort”.
  • “Type at least two options of your own”

Questions people ask

  • Is the pick really random? Yes, it’s a fair random choice among the dishes that match your filters; tapping Not that one removes it and picks again.
  • Can I add my own family favourites? Yes: choose Pick from my own list instead and type one dish per line, such as rajma chawal, poha, Maggi, chole bhature.
  • Does it know what’s healthy? Filters cover diet and effort, not calories; for health, keep a list of your own balanced meals.

Example

Dinner, vegetarian, Indian, quick effort: you might get palak paneer, khichdi or veg pulao. Not in the mood? Tap Not that one twice and go with the third pick, no arguments.
