What is it?
The Vibration Tester checks whether your phone’s vibration works: Tap a pattern to feel it (short buzz, long buzz, double tap, heartbeat, SOS, ringtone), or type Your own pattern.
Who is it for?
Android users checking a vibration motor after a drop or repair, developers testing vibration patterns, and buyers checking second-hand phones.
How to use it
- Tap a pattern to feel it.
- For your own, type milliseconds like
200, 100, 200and tap Play my pattern. - Stop ends it.
Buying a used phone?
Run the long buzz and the SOS pattern: a healthy motor feels strong and even; rattling or weak buzzing suggests a problem.
Errors and how to fix them
- This device or browser cannot vibrate from a web page. iPhones and iPads don’t allow it in any browser, and most computers have no vibration motor.
- “Write milliseconds separated by commas, like 200, 100, 200 (buzz, pause, buzz). Each up to 10000”
- Nothing on Android: check vibration isn’t off in Settings → Sound & vibration, and that battery saver isn’t limiting it.
Questions people ask
- Why doesn’t it work on my iPhone? iPhones don’t allow websites to vibrate the phone in any browser.
- How long can a buzz be? Up to 10,000 milliseconds (10 seconds) per buzz.
Practical tip
Try the SOS pattern (short-short-short, long-long-long, short-short-short); if you can feel each buzz clearly and evenly, the motor is healthy.
