What is it?
The Test Data Generator fills a database, spreadsheet or form demo with believable sample records. Tick the Fields you need, choose the Country style (India, United States, United Kingdom or Mixed), Rows and Format (CSV, JSON, SQL INSERT, TSV or Markdown).
Who is it for?
Developers and testers, teachers making Excel and SQL exercises, designers filling mock-ups, and trainers preparing demos without real personal data.
How to use it
- Tick fields and set Rows; for SQL, set the SQL table name.
- Optionally set a Seed (same seed = same data).
- Tap Generate, then Copy or Download.
Why use fake data?
Using real customers’ data for testing and training risks leaks and breaks privacy laws. Fake data looks real but belongs to nobody. Any resemblance to real people is coincidence.
Everything happens in your browser; nothing you type or choose is uploaded.
Errors and how to fix them

- Excel shows phone numbers as 9.18E+11: import the column as Text.
Questions people ask
- What does the seed do? The same seed gives the same data every time, so tests are repeatable.
- Are the phone numbers real? They look realistic but are generated; don’t call or message them.
Practical tip
Generate a small set (20 rows) first to check the format works with your database or spreadsheet, then generate the full set with the same seed.
