Rent Tracker for Landlords: Tenants, Payments, Dues and Receipts

What is it?

The Rent Tracker is a rent book for landlords with a few flats, shops, rooms or a PG. Add each tenant with rent and start month, record payments as they come, see who has paid and what’s due, and send reminders.

Who is it for?

Landlords with a few properties, PG and hostel owners, shop-owners renting out space, and families managing rented property for relatives.

How to use it

  1. Tap ➕ Add a tenant: Name, Mobile, Property / unit (e.g. Shop 2, Flat 101), Monthly rent, Rent starts from and Deposit.
  2. When rent comes in, choose the tenant, enter Amount received, Rent for month, Date received and Paid by, then Save payment.
  3. Use Rent reminder on WhatsApp for dues.

Tips

Give a rent receipt for every payment (the Receipt Maker helps); tenants need them for HRA claims. Keep the agreement terms (deposit, notice period) in the tenant’s note. For agreements, see the Rent Agreement Draft tool.

Keep your records safe

Everything is saved in this browser on this device, never on our servers, so it’s private. It is lost if you clear browsing data, uninstall the browser or use a private window, and it doesn’t sync to other phones. Back it up regularly with My Data: Backup Everything, which saves all your Infinity records in one file you can restore on any device.

Errors and how to fix them

  • My entries disappeared: browser data was cleared, or you’re on another browser or device. Restore your latest backup in My Data: Backup Everything.
  • Reminder doesn’t open WhatsApp: add the tenant’s mobile number.
  • Dues look wrong after a rent increase: change the monthly rent from the month it applies.
