Rent Agreement Draft: 11-Month, Leave and Licence, Shop and PG

What is it?

The Rent Agreement Draft writes a clear rent agreement in minutes. Choose a home (11-month), leave and licence, shop, room or PG agreement, and fill in the rent, deposit, notice period and other terms.

Who is it for?

Landlords and tenants, PG owners, shop owners renting space, and brokers preparing drafts.

How to use it

  1. Choose the type of agreement.
  2. Fill in landlord and tenant details, property, rent, deposit, dates, notice period and any special terms.
  3. Read it, edit, and print it for stamping and signing.

Why 11 months?

Agreements of 12 months or more usually must be registered, with stamp duty and registration fees. Many residential agreements are made for 11 months to avoid that, then renewed. Rules differ by state; Maharashtra, for example, requires leave and licence agreements to be registered.

Both sides should keep signed copies, ID proof copies and rent receipts.

These are drafts to save time, not legal advice. Laws, stamp duty and notary rules differ by state and country; have important documents checked by a lawyer or notary.

Errors and how to fix them

  • Terms don’t fit your deal: edit the text; add clauses like maintenance or electricity responsibility.
  • Need it on stamp paper: print on non-judicial stamp paper or e-stamp of the value your state requires.
