Printable Worksheets: Tracing, Sums, Missing Numbers and Times Tables as PDF

What is it?

Printable Worksheets makes fresh PDF worksheets in seconds. Choose ABC tracing, 123 tracing, Sums, Missing numbers, Times tables or Writing lines, add a title, choose A4 or Letter paper and 1 to 5 pages. Every page gets new random questions, a Name/Date line, and an answer key page is added if you want one.

Who is it for?

Parents giving extra practice at home, tutors, and primary teachers who need a different sheet for each child so answers can’t be copied.

How to use it

  1. Choose the kind of worksheet.
  2. Type the Title at the top (e.g. “Class 2 Addition”).
  3. Set the options: Letters to trace (English A–Z, a–z); Sums (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division or Mixed) with Numbers Up to 10, 20, 100 or 1000; Pattern Count by 1, 2, 5 or 10; or Times tables (up to 20) like 2, 3, 4.
  4. Choose Paper, How many pages and tick Add an answer key page.
  5. Press Make worksheet (PDF). When it says “Ready! Download it or print it from the preview.”, download or print.

Worked example

For a class of 30: choose Sums › Mixed › Up to 20, 5 pages, answer key on. Make it six times and you have 30 different pages with keys. Division sums always divide exactly, and subtraction never goes below zero.

Tips

  • Print the answer key separately so children cannot peek.
  • For handwriting, print Writing lines on both sides.
  • Missing numbers with Count by 5 is great practice for reading clocks later.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “Type the times tables to practise, for example 2, 3, 4”: the tables box is empty or has no numbers.
  • Hindi letters won’t trace: this tool traces English letters only. Use the Letter Tracing tool for Hindi or Punjabi.
  • Preview is blank on my phone: many phones can’t show a PDF inside a page. Use Download and open the PDF.
  • Printed too small or cut off: print at 100% (Actual size) on the paper size you chose.
