Private Diary (Encrypted): A Diary Only You Can Open

What is it?

The Private Diary encrypts every entry on your own device with a key made from your password, before it’s saved. There’s no account and no cloud: without the password, nobody, including us, can read it.

Who is it for?

Anyone who journals, people writing private thoughts or health notes, students, and anyone who shares a phone or computer with family.

How to use it

  1. The first time, set a Password, Confirm password and an optional Password hint, then Create my diary.
  2. Each visit shows “🔒 Your diary is locked”: type the password and tap Unlock.
  3. Write entries; lock the diary when you’re done.

Choosing a password

Use something long you’ll remember, like a short sentence. The hint isn’t encrypted, so make it meaningful only to you.

Backups stay encrypted

A backup made in My Data contains the encrypted entries, so it’s still unreadable without your password.

Keep your records safe

Everything is saved in this browser on this device, never on our servers, so it’s private. It is lost if you clear browsing data, uninstall the browser or use a private window, and it doesn’t sync to other phones. Back it up regularly with My Data: Backup Everything, which saves all your Infinity records in one file you can restore on any device.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “Wrong password”: check Caps Lock and keyboard language; the hint can help.
  • Forgot the password: There is no “forgot password”. Nobody, including us, can open the diary without it. Write it down somewhere safe.
  • My entries disappeared: browser data was cleared, or you’re on another browser or device. Restore your latest backup in My Data: Backup Everything.
