What is it?
The Online Notepad is a clean place to jot ideas, lists, drafts or lecture notes without signing in. Everything is saved on this device as you type. Keep many notes, search them, see the word count, download or share them.
Who is it for?
Students, writers, office workers, and anyone who needs a quick, distraction-free notepad on a phone or computer.
How to use it
- Start typing, or tap + New note.
- Use Search your notes and Open a note to switch.
- Copy, Download .txt or Share on WhatsApp; Delete note when done.
Tip
Download important notes now and then. For notes you share or collaborate on, a cloud document is better; for private quick notes, this is faster.
Your entries are saved only in this browser on this device. Back them up with My Data: Backup Everything if they matter.
Errors and how to fix them
- Notes gone: cleared browser data, a private window, or a different browser; restore from a My Data backup.
- Formatting lost: the notepad is plain text by design.
Questions people ask
- Is there a word count? Yes, it shows as you type.
- Can I use it offline? Once loaded, typing and saving work offline because notes stay on the device.
Practical tip
Give each note a clear first line, like “Meeting – 1 Nov” or “Shopping”; search uses the note text, so a good first line makes notes easy to find later.
