What is it?
The On-Page SEO Checker checks a web page for the basics Google looks at. Paste the page’s HTML to check things like the title, meta description, headings, image alt text and mobile settings, each with a plain fix.
Who is it for?
Blogger and WordPress owners, small businesses with a website, students learning SEO, and anyone checking a page before publishing, without sharing it with any online service.
How to use it
- Open the page, press Ctrl + U (or “View source”), copy everything.
- Paste it in the box. Paste the page’s HTML source is required: a link alone isn’t enough.
- Read each check and fix the ones marked as problems.
Blogger tip
Blogger themes output the title and H1 for you; check the source of a published post (not the editor). The post’s Search description becomes the meta description once enabled in Settings.
Limits
This checks on-page basics only. Rankings also depend on content quality, speed, links from other sites and how useful the page is.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Missing. Add a <title> of 50–60 characters with your main keyword”
- “Google may cut it after about 60 characters” or “Too long: it will be cut off”: shorten the title or description.
- “Too short: aim for 120–160”: write a fuller description.
- “Missing. Add one <h1> with the page topic”
- “The page has noindex: Google will NOT show it in search”: remove the noindex tag (on Blogger, check post settings and custom robots tags).
- “Few headings. Break long text into sections with <h2> headings”
