What is it?
The Calories Burned Calculator estimates Calories burned, Per hour and the Fat equivalent for activities like walking, running, cycling, swimming, yoga, dancing, skipping, badminton, cricket fielding, household chores, gym weights and climbing stairs.
Who is it for?
People tracking exercise for weight loss, fitness beginners, and anyone curious what their walk, yoga or game burns.
How to use it
Choose the Activity, enter Your weight and the Minutes. The answer appears as you type; there is no Calculate button. Tap Copy result to copy it, or Share on WhatsApp to send it.
How it is estimated
It is based on MET values from the Compendium of Physical Activities, a research list of how hard activities are. Calories = MET × weight in kg × hours. Heavier people burn more for the same activity.
Why it is only a guide
- Real numbers vary with effort and fitness. A brisk walk uphill burns far more than a slow stroll.
- Fitness watches also estimate and often overcount. Don’t “eat back” every calorie they show.
- About 7,700 kcal equals 1 kg of body fat, which is why the fat equivalent looks small: diet matters most for weight loss.
Good to know
Regular movement improves health in many ways besides calories: blood sugar, blood pressure, mood and sleep. 150 minutes of moderate activity a week is the common guideline for adults.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Enter your weight (more than 0)”: weight changes calories burned.
