Calendar Reminder Maker: Add Reminders to Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar

What is it?

Calendar Reminder Maker turns a few details into a proper calendar event with an alert: what, when, how often it repeats and when to remind you. One tap adds it to Google Calendar or Outlook, or downloads a calendar file for Apple Calendar and others; it also gives a sentence you can say to Siri or Google Assistant.

Who is it for?

People who forget bill due dates, parents tracking school events, families remembering birthdays and medicines, and small businesses setting reminders for GST dates or rent collection.

How to use it

  1. Type What to remind you about (e.g. Pay electricity bill), or tap a quick choice like 🎂 Birthday, 💡 Bill due, 💊 Medicine or 👥 Meeting.
  2. Set the Date, Time, Length and Time zone; add Location and Notes if useful.
  3. Choose Repeat every (Does not repeat, Every day, Every weekday (Mon–Fri), Every week, Every month, Every year) and when it Ends.
  4. Pick the Reminder (At the time, On the day at 9 AM, The day before at 9 AM…), then tap the calendar button you use.

Worked example

Electricity bill due on the 10th of every month: Bill due, date the next 10th, Every month, Never ends, reminder The day before at 9 AM. Add it to Google Calendar once and you’re reminded every month. Nothing you type is stored by us; it goes straight into your own calendar.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “Choose a date”: the Date box is empty.
  • No alert on my phone: check that the calendar app’s notifications are on and that the event was saved to the calendar you look at.
  • Phone alarm for a later date: the tool explains that phone alarms are only for the next 24 hours or repeating days; for a date further ahead, use a task or the calendar buttons.
  • Time is wrong: check the Time zone matches where you will be.
