What is it?
The Book Keeper and Statement Generator is a digital khata (ledger) for shops and small businesses: record what each customer or supplier owes, share statements, and send payment reminders on WhatsApp.
Who is it for?
Kirana shops, wholesalers, small traders and service businesses keeping udhar (credit) accounts for customers and suppliers.
Start
- Fill in your Business name (shown on statements) and Phone / address line. These details appear at the top of statements and in WhatsApp reminders.
- Tap Add a party: Name of customer, supplier or person and Mobile (optional).
- Tap a party and add entries: You gave (they owe you) or You got (payment received), with an amount, date and details such as “Bill 102, goods sold”.
Reading balances
- You will get: the party owes you. You will give: you owe them.
- The main list shows each party’s balance, so you can see at a glance who to follow up.
Statements and reminders
- Open Statement, choose a party and dates, and Print / Save as PDF a Statement of account with Opening balance, entries and Closing balance.
- Send reminder on WhatsApp sends a polite message with the amount due.
- Download CSV for your accountant.
Keep your records safe
- Records are stored in this browser on this device only, not on our servers, so they are private. The browser is asked not to clear them when space runs low.
- Clearing browsing or site data, uninstalling the browser, or a private window will lose them. Download the CSV regularly as a backup.
- Records don’t sync between phones. Use one device for each book.
Errors and how to fix them
- “Choose a party to make a statement”: pick a customer or supplier first.
- Reminder doesn’t open WhatsApp: add a mobile number to the party.
