What is it?
Body Parts teaches the parts of the body with a friendly drawing of a child. Tap hair, head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, neck, shoulders, chest, tummy, arms, elbows, hands, legs, knees or feet to hear its name and what it does (“We hear with our ears.”). Switch between English and हिन्दी (आँखें, कान, नाक…), play Touch the…, and learn the Five senses.
Who is it for?
Toddlers and pre-school children, parents teaching body words in English and Hindi, and nursery teachers covering “My body” and the five senses.
How to use it
- In My body, “Tap a body part”: the name and what it does are shown and read aloud.
- Use English / हिन्दी to change the language.
- Press 🎯 Play “Touch the…”. The tool asks for a part (“Touch the knee”); your child taps it. The score is shown; press ■ Stop the game to finish.
- Open Five senses: each sense is linked to its body part, then “Which part helps us with …?” questions.
What each part does (as the tool says it)
- Neck: holds up the head and lets it turn. Shoulders: let our arms swing round.
- Chest: inside are the heart and lungs. Tummy: food goes to the stomach.
- Hands: we hold, draw and wave; each hand has five fingers. Feet carry us and help us balance.
Tips
- After each answer, touch your own knee or nose together: moving helps young children remember.
- Ask “What do ears do?” to build full sentences.
- The drawing is kept simple and clothed, so it suits the youngest children.
Errors and how to fix them
- No sound when I tap: the words are read by your device’s own voice. Turn the volume up and silent mode off, and check that a text-to-speech voice is installed (Android: Settings › Accessibility › Text-to-speech; iPhone: Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content; Windows: Settings › Time & language › Speech). Hindi words need a Hindi voice; without one the tool says them in English or stays quiet.
- Wrong part when tapping: small parts such as elbows and knees are close together on phones. Turn the phone sideways or zoom with two fingers, and tap the middle of the part.
- Hindi not spoken: your device needs a Hindi voice; the written Hindi word still shows.
