What is it?
Rotate and Flip Image turns photos the right way up, mirrors them, or straightens a slight tilt.
Who is it for?
People whose photos show sideways on websites or forms, anyone fixing a mirrored selfie, and anyone straightening a tilted photo of a document or a horizon.
How to use it
- Tap Choose photos. All photos get the same turn, so choose photos that need the same fix together.
- Use ↺ Left, ↻ Right or 180° to rotate; ⇋ Mirror to swap left and right; ⇅ Flip to turn upside down.
- Drag Straighten to fix a tilted horizon or document. Choose what fills the Empty corners it leaves.
- Pick Save as and tap Save rotated. Reset undoes everything.
Why photos look sideways in some apps
Phones often save photos in their original direction plus a hidden “turn me” note (EXIF orientation). Some websites and old programs ignore the note. Saving the photo here bakes the rotation into the picture itself, so it looks right everywhere.
Mirror selfies and text
Front-camera selfies are often mirrored, which makes text on T-shirts or signs read backwards. ⇋ Mirror fixes it. Mirror also helps when preparing iron-on transfers.
Which format to save as?
- Same as original keeps the file type. JPG is smallest for photos. PNG keeps sharp text and transparent backgrounds. WebP is small with good quality, but a few old programs can’t open it.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The file is opened and processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to us, and closing the page clears it.
Errors and how to fix them
- Photos still sideways after upload elsewhere: make sure you downloaded and uploaded the new file, not the original.
- Black or white corners after straightening: choose how to fill Empty corners, or crop them away afterwards.
- Different photos need different turns: process them in separate groups; all chosen photos get the same turn.
