What is it?
PDF to Word turns a PDF into a .docx file that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, WPS Office and LibreOffice. Editable text rebuilds paragraphs, headings and bold text so you can change anything; Exact look places each page as a picture so it looks identical but can’t be edited.
Who is it for?
People who need to update an old CV or letter they only have as a PDF, students editing notes, offices reusing a form or circular, and anyone asked to “send it in Word format”.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF.
- Under Convert to, choose Editable text or Exact look.
- Tap Convert to Word. You’ll see Reading the PDF… and Converting page …, then download the .docx.
Which option to choose
- Editable text: CVs, letters, reports and notes you want to change.
- Exact look: when someone just insists on a .docx file and the content must not move.
Worked example
Try a sample converts a short “Quarterly Report” with a heading, paragraphs and a list: open the result in Word and the heading is a real Heading style you can restyle in one click. Always read through the converted document once, especially numbers and tables.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is opened and changed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to us, and closing the page clears it.
Errors and how to fix them
- “This PDF is password-protected. Remove the password first”: open it once with Remove PDF Password (you need the password), then use the unlocked copy here.
- Some pages came out as pictures: those pages are scans with no text. Make the PDF searchable with Make Scanned PDF Searchable (OCR) first, then convert again.
- Tables or columns look wrong: complex layouts become plain paragraphs. Fix them in Word, or use Exact look if you only need the appearance.
- Fonts are different: Word uses fonts installed on your device; change them after opening.
