What is it?
The Receipt Maker creates a receipt confirming money was received, with the amount, date, payment mode and reference.
Who is it for?
Landlords, tutors, shopkeepers, clubs and service providers giving proof of payment.
Make a receipt
- Fill in your details under From and the payer under Received from.
- Enter the amount and what it is for (against an invoice number, a month’s rent or fees).
- Choose the Payment mode: Cash, UPI, Bank transfer, Cheque or Card, and add the reference (UPI transaction ID or cheque number).
Tips
- For cheques, write “subject to realisation”; a cheque can bounce.
- Rent receipts for HRA: include landlord name and address, tenant name, rent period, amount and the property address. If yearly rent is above ₹1 lakh, the landlord’s PAN is needed for the HRA claim.
- Number receipts in sequence (RCT-001…) and keep a copy of every one.
- Cash receipts above certain limits may need a revenue stamp in some states; check locally.
Saving, reopening and sharing
- Your business details under From (your business, saved for next time) and your Logo (optional) are remembered on this device. Customers you use go into Saved customers.
- Tap Save to keep the document. Saved documents are listed so you can Open, Copy as new (for a repeat order) or Delete them, and Download list (CSV / Excel) for your records.
- Print / Save as PDF makes a PDF: choose Save as PDF as the printer. Send on WhatsApp shares a text summary.
Where is my data kept?
Everything is saved in this browser on this device, not on our servers. Clearing browsing data or using another phone or browser won’t show your documents. Download the list and PDFs regularly to keep copies.
Errors and how to fix them
- Amount in words wrong: check the amount field (no commas or symbols needed).
