Number Tracing: Write 0–20, Count Pictures, Hindi, Gurmukhi and Arabic Digits

What is it?

Number Tracing helps children learn to write numbers. Each number from 0 to 20 appears large and dotted with matching pictures to count; children trace it and earn stars. Hindi (०–९), Gurmukhi (੦–੯) and Arabic (٠–٩) digits are included too.

Who is it for?

Children learning to write numbers (about 3–6 years), parents, and teachers, including those teaching Hindi or Punjabi numerals.

How to use it

  1. At the top, choose the digits: 0–20, Hindi ०–९, Gurmukhi ੦–੯ or Arabic ٠–٩. Then tap a number, or move with ◀ and ▶.
  2. Trace the dotted number with a finger, stylus or mouse. Tap 🔊 Hear it to hear the number said aloud.
  3. Tap ✓ Check to get up to three stars. Tap Clear to try again, or Play again when it appears.
  4. Not sure how? Tap Try a sample to watch the number being traced.

Tip

Numbers like 2, 5 and 9 are often written backwards at first; that’s normal. Trace a few each day and count the pictures aloud together.

For parents and teachers

Short sessions work best: 5–10 minutes a day, then something active. Sit with young children, say the answers aloud together, and praise effort, not just right answers. Everything runs on the device with no sign-up, no chat and no data collected about your child.

Errors and how to fix them

  • No sound when tapping 🔊: turn up the volume, switch off silent mode (on iPhone, the side switch), and check the browser tab isn’t muted. Sounds use your device’s built-in voices.
  • Tracing doesn’t register: draw inside the pad, starting on the dots.
  • Low stars: cover the whole number along the dotted line.
