What is it?
My Data shows what each Infinity tool has saved on this device, such as your money manager, khata, invoices and diary. From here you can back up everything into one file, restore that file on any device, or delete one tool’s data.
Who is it for?
Everyone who uses Infinity’s record tools: shop owners with khata and stock, families with expenses and bills, and anyone changing phones or clearing their browser.
How to use it
- Open My Data. Under Saved by each tool you’ll see what each tool keeps.
- Tap ⬇ Back up everything and keep the file safe (Google Drive, email to yourself, or a computer).
- On a new phone or browser, open My Data and tap ⬆ Restore a backup. Tap Ask the browser to keep my data to reduce the chance of automatic clearing.
A good backup habit
Back up weekly if you run a business on these tools, and always before changing phones, resetting a browser or clearing data. Backups of the diary stay encrypted.
Privacy
A backup file holds your records in readable form (except the diary). Store it like any private document.
Errors and how to fix them
- “This file is not an Infinity backup”: you chose another file; pick the backup you downloaded.
- “No tool has saved anything on this device yet”: records were made in another browser or device; back up from there.
- Restore didn’t show my data in a tool: reload the tool’s page after restoring.
Open the tool: My Data: Backup Everything
