What is it?
The Letter Generator writes formal, business and personal letters for you. Choose a type, such as a resignation letter, NOC, payment reminder, complaint or thank-you letter, fill in the details and use the ready text.
Who is it for?
Employees resigning or asking for relieving letters, businesses sending reminders and quotation requests, landlords and owners giving NOCs and authorisations, and anyone writing a formal or personal letter in a hurry.
How to use it
- Pick the letter under What do you need to write? and fill in the details.
- Check the wording and edit anything that doesn’t fit your situation.
- Copy letter, Print / Save as PDF, or download Word (.doc) or Text (.txt).
Tips for common letters
- Resignation: state your last working day according to your notice period, stay polite, and ask for the relieving and experience letters in writing.
- Authorization: name the person, their ID (for example Aadhaar or PAN last digits), exactly what they may do and for how long. Attach copies of both IDs.
- NOC: say who gives no objection, to whom, for what purpose, and sign with date and seal if it is from a company.
- Payment reminder: include the invoice number, amount, due date and how to pay. Stay friendly in the first reminder.
Printing on letterhead
Print on your company’s letterhead paper, and in the print window set the top margin so the text starts below the logo. Untick Headers and footers to remove the browser’s date and link.
Errors and how to fix them
- Wrong details in the letter: every field fills the letter; check names, dates and amounts before printing.
- Printout has the page address and date: untick Headers and footers in the print window.
- Word file shows odd spacing: open it in Word and save as .docx, then adjust.
