Install Infinity as an App on Your Phone or Computer

What is it?

Infinity can be installed like an app, straight from your browser, without an app store. It gets its own icon on your home screen or taskbar, opens full screen, and many tools work even without internet.

Who is it for?

Anyone who uses the tools often, people with slow or patchy internet, shopkeepers using calculators and invoice makers every day, and families who prefer tapping an icon to searching.

How to use it

  1. Open the Install as an App tool: it shows the steps for your device and browser (“How to install on …”).
  2. If your browser supports it, tap Install now. Otherwise follow the steps, for example Android Chrome: ⋮ menu → “Install app” or “Add to Home screen” → Install; iPhone Safari: Share → “Add to Home Screen” → Add.
  3. On another device, scan the QR code of the app link to open it there.

Is it safe?

Yes. An installed web app is the same website in its own window: it doesn’t get extra permissions, and you remove it like any app (long-press → Remove, or uninstall from the browser’s app list). It updates itself when you are online.

Errors and how to fix them

  • “Not installed. You can do it later from the browser menu”: you cancelled the install prompt; use the browser menu steps.
  • No “Add to Home Screen” on iPhone Chrome: open the page in Safari and use Share → Add to Home Screen.
  • “Firefox on computers cannot install web apps”: use Chrome or Edge, or bookmark the page (Ctrl + D, or Cmd + D on a Mac).
  • Can’t find the app after installing: the tool says “Installed! Look for it on your home screen or app list.” Search your app list for Infinity.
