What is it?
Blur Faces and Number Plates hides private parts of a photo before you post it. Drag over a face, number plate, house number or document and choose Blur, Pixelate or Black bar.
Who is it for?
Parents posting school or party photos, people reporting road incidents, sellers showing products in their home, and anyone sharing screenshots with private details.
How to use it
- Choose a photo. Pick the Effect, the Shape for the next area (▭ Box or ◯ Oval (faces)) and Strength.
- Drag over each area. Undo last or Clear all if needed; Whole photo blurs everything.
- Check the preview and tap Save photo.
Safety tip
For truly sensitive information (Aadhaar numbers, bank details), use a Black bar; it can’t be undone from the saved photo. Also remove location data before sharing.
Everything happens in your browser; nothing you type or choose is uploaded.
Errors and how to fix them
- Details still readable: light blur can sometimes be reversed or read; use stronger blur, Pixelate, or a Black bar for documents and plates.
- Photo won’t open: use JPG, PNG or WebP.
Questions people ask
- Is the original changed? No, you download a new copy.
- Is my photo uploaded? No, it’s edited in your browser.
